Q2 2025 Communication Apps Performance in Hungary

During the second quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Hungary displayed varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. showed a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of $164 in the final week of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at about 15.8K in mid-June, while active users hovered around 4.9M throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained steady weekly downloads, with a high of approximately 17.7K in late May. Active user numbers rose slightly, ending the quarter at around 1.7M.

NAV-Mobil, developed by Nemzeti Adó- és Vámhivatal, experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with over 36K and dropping to around 4.2K by the end. Active users mirrored this trend, decreasing to approximately 32K by late June.

Snapchat from Snap Inc reported consistent weekly revenue, with figures around $7.1K in late June. Downloads remained stable, with a slight increase to about 8.3K mid-June. Active users saw fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 576K.

Rakuten Viber Messenger demonstrated steady revenue growth, peaking at $4.1K in mid-June. Weekly downloads were consistent, reaching 8.8K in the same period, with active users remaining around 2.1M.
